UCLA Health Mobile App

The Mobile, Cloud and Data Research group completed a comprehensive redesign of the UCLA Health mobile app, which is built with the OARC-developed mobile-app builder, ZAP. Using ZAP’s customizable framework, with additional bespoke features requested by UCLA Health, the redesign reflects new branding on their website, new content streams, new dynamic blog feeds, and other key updates to their digital brand presence.

ZAP includes customization features for styling and brand management, use of dynamic content feeds, custom maps, and embedded YouTube videos. The platform also includes rich templates and a custom dashboard to make it easy to create and update content.

The group developed new design assets, banners, and icons, as well as updated the aesthetics of the app. The app redesign made it more accessible for patients to find care, schedule appointments, and find news updates about UCLA Health.
