Sutopa is a Software Development Engineer at CESMII, where she helps build and advance the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Platform and the tools that connect industrial systems to modern cloud and analytics technologies. Her work spans full-stack application development, data ingestion and contextualization, and the integration of operational technology (OT) with IT systems — the core challenge at the heart of smart manufacturing.

She brings over four years of experience developing software for regulated industrial and life sciences environments, having delivered full-stack applications, real-time IoT dashboards, and large-scale data pipelines for leading pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers including Amgen, Takeda, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Abbott Nutrition. Her technical background includes React, Node.js, Python, and SQL, along with industrial data platforms such as OSIsoft PI Historian, Kepware OPC, and Databricks, and cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.

Sutopa holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Western Michigan University and is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PI Infrastructure Specialist, and Databricks-certified engineer. She served as Vice President of the WMU Bronco Robotics Club and led her team to a Best Innovation Award at the National VEX U Robotics Competition for a machine-learning-powered robotic hand.
