Shao-Ching Huang is a research scientist and the group lead of the Computational Science Group. His primary research interests are computational fluid dynamics, large-scale parallel computing, parameter estimation and scientific visualization. His other activities include teaching advanced computing classes to UCLA graduate students and researchers. He received his PhD in mechanical engineering from UCLA. Recently, he has been developing computational tools for turbulent flows in complex geometry with applications in engineering, medicine and climate.
