Chris Patterson focuses in web accessibility and web development, including content management systems and custom applications. Chris specializes in database architecture, information architecture, and user-interface design. She consults with users to determine functional requirements for applications, and then designs, builds, and maintains those systems.

The lead developer of the OARC Web Team, Chris has developed, designed and maintained numerous websites and applications. Today, Chris builds sites primarily on the Drupal Content Management System.

Chris is proficient with various web and database programming languages, tools and standards including HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, XML, XSL, SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, WCAG 2.0, Siteimprove, and more.

Chris is also the technical lead of the Disabilities and Computing Program and has served as an accessibility evangelist for UCLA since the early days of the web. She helps other web developers and content editors understand what it takes to make a website work for everyone.

Chris serves as one of the UCLA representatives on the systemwide Electronic Accessibility Committee and the UC Tech Ambassadors Group.
